Whitney Rosenson was born in Los Angeles and have lived most of her life as an Angelino. She attended the University of Michigan as well as Pepperdine University where she received her Masters degree in Education. She taught fifth grade but now runs an art gallery, Art Dimensions, which is located in Studio City.
Whitney was introduced to the mission of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels by our Cuisine a Roulette’s president, Betsy Rosenfeld Vargas about four years. Whitney volunteered as a driver and helped deliver nutritious meals to seniors. “Volunteering for SVOW was and is one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had.” Says Whitney.
Whitney goes on to say “SVMOW strives to curtail the feelings of isolation, loneliness and hunger that so many shut-in seniors in Los Angeles are experiencing, and I feel strongly that the service they provide is critical for society. When I drove the van to deliver meals, I felt not only productive, but needed. The outbreak of the coronavirus has shown that now more than ever, seniors are in need, and SVMOW works hard to support them.
The STVMOW clients are so appreciative and happy when we walk through their doors. I am proud to have volunteered with SVMOW.”
